At R8 Services, we value the satisfaction and understanding of our clients. Please take a moment to review our Refund and Return Policy, which outlines the terms and conditions governing the provision of our design and construction services:

1. Initial Design Consultation Fee:

• The initial 1-hour design consultation visit is priced at $500.
• Payment of the consultation fee is required at the time of booking the consultation.
• Payment for the initial consultation is non-refundable.
  
  

2. Project Evaluation and Acceptance:

• Following the consultation, our designer will evaluate the feasibility and compatibility of your project with our services.
• The designer reserves the right to accept or decline your project after the consultation based on their professional assessment.
• The estimate provided is based on the information gathered during our initial discussions and interactions with the client.
• It is an estimation of the costs of construction and is subject to the nature of home remodels and construction projects.
  
  

3. Estimate Validity:

• The pricing listed in the estimate is valid for 30 days from the date listed on the estimate. After 30 days, pricing may be subject to adjustment due to material and labor pricing fluctuations.
  
  

4. Subsequent Services:

• If your project is accepted by our designer, any services provided beyond the initial 1-hour consultation will be billed at an hourly rate as determined by our firm.
• You will be informed of the hourly rate for your specific project before any additional services are rendered.
  
  

5. Unforeseen Issues:

• Due to the unpredictable nature of construction, it is possible that unforeseen issues may be discovered after work has commenced that were not apparent during the initial assessment.
• If such issues are found, R8 Services will contact the client immediately with the issues found, possible solutions, and associated costs. These issues are not considered change orders.
  
  

6. Detailed Scope:

• The items listed in the estimate are intended to be as detailed as needed for the services listed. Any questions or concerns regarding the services listed in the estimate should be addressed before the estimate is approved.
  
  

7. Payment Terms:

• All payments, including the initial consultation fee and any subsequent service fees, must be made in full upfront or at the end of consultation.
• Payments are to be made through our secure online portal, which is accessible via the Houzz platform. Unless otherwise communicated by R8 Services representatives.
  
  

8. Additional Costs:

• Any additional expenses, such as materials, travel, or third-party services, incurred during the course of your project will be discussed with you in advance and are not included in the initial consultation fee.
  
  

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling:

• If you need to reschedule or cancel your consultation, please notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
• Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the forfeiture of your consultation fee, and your appointment will be canceled.
  
  

10. Change Orders:

• Once the estimate is approved, no additional work will be performed, and no work not listed in the estimate will be undertaken without a written change order.
• Each change order will incur a fee of $75 in addition to the additional costs of the changes. Change orders include additional work requested, changes to the work listed in the estimate, or subtractions of work listed in the estimate.
  
  

11. Termination:

• If the CLIENT terminates the project for any reason, R8 Services will be entitled to full payment for all time invested to that point.
  
  

12. Rush Projects:

• If the CLIENT requires a rush project and R8 Services is available, an additional 20% fee will be added to the project fee.
  
  

13. Governing Law and Arbitration:

• The laws of the State of Texas govern this Agreement.
• Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be decided by arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association.
  
  

14. Tax and Additional Fees:

• Any charges payable under this Agreement are exclusive of any applicable taxes, duties, or other fees charged by a government body, which shall be payable by the Client in addition to all other charges payable hereunder.
  
  

By entering into a construction agreement or booking our design consultation services with R8 Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
